Welcome

Welcome to the Austin CureSearch Walk blog!  Your walk committee has been hard at work since early this spring to make sure that the 3rd Annual Austin CureSearch walk is a huge success!  This year the fundraising goal has been set at $58,000 and as of today our fabulous teams have already raised almost $39,500.  Can we get to $60,000 by September 24?
There are currently 26 teams signed up and just under 200 walkers.  To help recruit for the walk and spread the word about childhood cancer awareness month, multiple events will be taking place around town.  Check back often to view the calendar on the blog main page!
Just to highlight a few:
  • Tuesday September 13th will be CureSearch night at Cypress Grill!  20% of the evening's proceeds will benefit the Austin CureSearch Walk so please come out for dinner, Tuesdays are "Shrimptacular" and multiple shrimp specials are available!
  • Wednesday(s) September 14, 21, 28 ALL Austin-area Schlotzsky's locations will donate 20% of your total purchase to the CureSearch Walk when you tell them you're with CureSearch!  Austin, Round, Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville and Georgetown are included, 4-10PM!  Find a location near you!
  • During the Austin City Council meeting on Thursday September 22, Mayor Lee Leffingwell will present a childhood cancer awareness poclamation.
  • The CureSearch Walk is Saturday September 24, registration begins at 8AM and opening ceremonies kick off at 9AM!  We can't wait to see you there!
